Here comes the Proposal for your comment:


1. Mission and Vision of the Club

Mission of the Club
To provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment to empower the MBA community in Hong Kong by enhancing our oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.

(The Mission Statement is adopted from Constitution of Toastmasters Club from Toastmasters International)

Vision of the Club
To be the leading movement in Hong Kong in building and sustaining a better network to speak better.


2. Meeting Day and Venue
Meetings to be held on 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month, 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the format of a dinner meeting.

Meeting venue to be determine.


3. Membership Fee
Annual Membership Fee from April to March the following year is HK$1,200, pro-rata at the joining month. Example: a membership joining in October shall pay HK$600; joining in November shall pay HK$500.

There will also be an One-off Joining Fee of HK$400 for new members. For dual, transfer or reinstated members who do not need a New Member Kit from Toastmasters International, the One-off Joining Fee will be HK$200.


4. Charter Members
The club is proud to have a total 25 Charter Members founding the club, with 22 of us New Members to Toastmasters International


5. Elect the Founding President and Club Officers
The nominated Founding Executive Committee is as below:

6. First Club Meeting cum Charter Ceremony on 11 November 2009
It is proposed that the Charter Ceremony will be a dinner event, featuring Toastmasters meeting element:

Date : 11 November 2009 (Wed)
Time : 7:00 p.m. Reception; 7:30 p.m. Dinner starts
Venue : Police Officers' Club, Hung Hing Road, Causeway Bay (other suggestions welcome!)
Fee : HK$200/pax

Now calling for organising committee members. Guess what, assisting in the event shall count towards your achievement of the Competent Leadership accreditation by Toastmasters International!!
